Birthmom's Are Special.

If it weren't for birthmom's, there would be no
birth-son's nor birth-daughter's.
Since I am a birthmom, I know how difficult it is
to go thru the adoption process.
I think birthmother's should be commended
on their courage and bravery but we are often overlooked.
Adoptee's need to know who their birthparents are
for many reasons including medical
but they should also know that they were and are loved so much
by their birthparents and that is why
they were placed for adoption in most cases.
I am always excited when I meet a birthmom!
I guess mainly because she knows what I am feeling
and vice versa.
Birthmom's are very special and should be thought of
on Mother's Day too
because even though we are not "raising"
our birth-child, nothing will change the fact
that we gave birth to him/her
and have a bond that will always be there.
So, Happy Mother's Day To All Of My Fellow Birthmom's!
You should be proud!




Birthmother's Never Forget
Choosing to place my baby for adoption
was the most difficult decision I have ever made.
I knew from the beginning of my pregnancy though
that adoption was in the best interest for my child.
Some people may think that once a birthmother
places her child for adoption that she forgets
about him/her....that is just not true in my opinion.
I think about my baby, Taylor, all the time.
I know he is happy because we get pictures
from his adoptive
family. I just wish I could have seen him
take his first step or say his first word.
I will never have that chance with him
but I do have the chance to let him know that
we placed him for adoption out of love and nothing less.
